The purpose of the following research is to present individual and situational correlates, which may make convicts susceptible to developing depression symptoms. Negative results of legal confinement may develop in various human functioning behavior spheres. However the most noticeable changes are linked with emotional dysfunctions including the depression symptoms or even suicidal attempts. The research results indicate the correlations between individual features and depression inclinations in the situation of legal confinement, as well as between perception of being confined and depression.
