    [abstract] => 
The article answers to the paper entitled “Is there still anything left to argue about in psychology” written by Stanislaw Kowalik (2013). The subject of our work is a dispute with presented ideas while referring constructively and providing a continuation in areas of ontological, epistemological and methodological presuppositions of mainstream psychology, history of psychological thought and cultural psychology. The theory and research perspective that has been applied for the purpose of this paper is critical psychology complemented by the project of real psychology being elaborated by the authors and inspired by work of Wilhelm Dilthey. The anticipated approach is developed around a central concept of soul apprehended psychologically and used as a cognitive perspective as well as experience of a person constructed in the historic-cultural context.
