The basis of the athlete’s psychological preparation is the optimal use of his psychological and physical potential, which consists of individual characteristics of his personality, environmental factors and the influence of people cooperating with the player. Knowledge about the temperamental traits and emotional intelligence of athletes is cognitively useful in providing athletes with the proper course of the training process and effective determination of the players’ capabilities in terms of achieving high sports results.
