    [title_en] => COMPLEXITY OF PERSONAL EVALUATIVE STANDARDS AND SUSCEPTIBILITY TO IMPLICIT INFLUENCE OF AFFECTIVE STIMULUS
    [authors] => Maria Jarymowicz
    [abstract] =>

Neurobiological models of the brain, as well as results of psychological studies, allow to assume that there are connections between deliberative thinking, concepts, knowledge, beliefs and automatic processes. The article presents data of several studies on the relationship between complexity of personal articulated evaluative standards and degree of implicit influence of affect on explicit judgments. The Polish version of Religion Orientation Scaleand several original techniques of the complexity of evaluative standards measurement were used. To measure the dependent variables, in some experiments the IATmethod, and in some others the affective implicit priming paradigmwere applied. Data show that the higher the complexity of the articulated standards, the lower the degree of susceptibility to the influence of the affect: the lower the IAT effect and the lower coherence of explicit judgments with implicit affective stimulus.
